Senatorial Selection Act

The Senatorial Selection Act assigns the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer the responsibility of conducting an election under this legislation when the election is held in conjunction with a provincial election. Names of Senate nominees elected under this legislation are submitted to the Queen's Privy Council for Canada as persons who may be appointed to the Senate of Canada.
