Two successful by-elections were conducted in June 2007

On June 12, 2007, voters went to the polls to elect two new Members of the Legislative Assembly.
Craig Cheffins, representing the Alberta Liberal Party, was elected in Calgary-Elbow.
Jack Hayden, representing the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta, was elected in Drumheller-Stettler.
